Killing Joke – The Wait
As debut albums go, Killing Joke’s eponymous 1980 album was a belter. With many great tracks, it’s hard to pick any one but The Wait is my stand out track.
Campag Velocet – Bon Chic Bon Genre
From 1999′s Bon Chic Bon Genre album, the title track is an excellent example of lo-fi DIY music making. As punk as anything you’ll hear post 80s, Campag Velocet were seriously underrated.
McCarthy – In Purgatory
One of the great British indie bands from the 80s but maybe in my eyes only? McCarthy’s Tim Gane went on to form Stereolab but In Purgatory is one of my fave singles ever.

West Coast sounds from Scottish hipsters. From the album Grand Prix this is my kind of sound!
Radiohead – Reckoner
Maybe the best Radiohead song ever? An argument that could go on forever but either way, this is up there with the best of them. From the album In Rainbows.
