Many early Cure singles could make it on to this site but ‘Jumping’ has always been a particular fave of mine. Sound defines a truning point in early 80s music for me.

To most people Alan McGhee was simply the figurehead behind Creation Records, but to me he was the main man in one of my all time fave 80s indie bands Biff Bang Pow! Someone Stole My Wheels was from the excellent album The Girl Who Runs The Beat Hotel and is available on the compilation CD Waterbomb.
